Loredana Nemes
Blossom
Loredana Nemes lives in Berlin since 2001 when she started her photographic work. She has featured in many solo exhibitions across Germany and Europe (notably the Aaachen Raum für Kunst, the Cologne Baukunst Gallery, the Heinrich-Böll Stiftung and Podbielski Contemporary) and group exhibitions (the Berlinische Galerie, the Berlin Kommunale Galerie, KLV Art projects or the Voies Off Festival in Arles). Her photographic work for which she has received several awards and distinctions has been published notably by Hatje Cantz and include Loredana Nemes, beautiful (2013); Unscharf. Nach Gerhard Richter (2011); Loredana Nemes, beyond (2010).
Her work features in many private collections including that of the Berlinische Galerie in Berlin, the Folkwang Museum in Essen, the German History Museum, the Museum for Kunst und Gewerbe in Hamburg, the City Museum in Berlin, Richard Serra, New York, or the Art Collection Cleveland Clinic. The series “Blossom” is currently on show at the Museum for Modern Art and Photography in Berlin (Berlinische Galerie) until mid October 2018 as part a major solo exhibition dedicated to her work.
